Happy Home supports a group of children and young adults near Kisumu, in Kenya. Originally established as an orphanage, children are now cared for in their communities by guardian families. The Kenyan government aims to phase out all orphanages and children's homes by 2032. We still provide support for the children's education and welfare under the care of the guardian families. The site is now transitioning to become a school and also a location for a small number of start-up businesses. By supplying education and start-up funds for businesses, we’re helping to create change that lasts for generations to come.
