This year parts of Kenya have suffered in equal measure from flooding and from drought. In Kopere, Western Kenya, where our orphanage is situated, they escaped the flooding as they are not in a low-lying area, but they had a lot more rain in what should have been the ‘dry’ season. This has resulted in the maize and beans not being able to be planted when they should, consequently this will lead to poorer harvests for everyone and in turn it will lead to higher food prices in the marketplaces.
For prayer:
Please pray for the harvest.
Pray for people that they will be able to afford to buy food.
