Graduates from Happy Home

A number of children from Happy Home have gone on to graduate from Tertiary education universities and colleges.

Here is a short update on some of them. (Their real names have not been used.)

Eric has gone to become an Enterprise Development Officer in the public service commission in Nyando and Kadibo sub counties this year.

Sylvia has gone on to become a nurse. She writes:

"I dearly thank the good Lord that brought you people in my life. Through your support I am independent and I appreciate you all - may God continue touching you kind hearts and bless you more and more"

Valerie is now a physiotherapist. She had lost her dad at a young age and then lost her mum to post election violence in Kenya. Her mother had taught children at happy Home to sing. As a result of that connection, Valerie became a resident at Happy Home. She was successful in her secondary school exams and went on to study at Kenya Medical training College, graduating in 2019. After graduation she went on to become a certified occupational therapist. She is now attached to a three year internship programme in a County Hospital. She hopes to go on to study for a Bachelor's degree in Occupatioinal Therapy Medicine. Valerie writes:

"I am forever grateful to the Happy Home family for always giving us a peaceful environment that nurtured us morally and made me emotionally stable to face and serve the world"

Trevor is now a teacher at an Academy not too far from Happy Home. He says that he has got this far "as a result of the considerate act of humanity and generous hand of the Happy Home fraternity"

Michael has been sponsored in his degree course to become a chartered surveyor. He is now on an internship programme awaiting registration with the Board Of Architects And Quantity Surveyors Of Kenya. Michael writes:

"Your support has not only helped financially but has also given me the encouragement and motivation to pursue my goals with greater determination. Please accept my heartfelt thanks for your kindness and for enabling possibilities that were previously beyond my reach. I would recommend you continue with your generosity in sponsoring other kids out there who are not financially able to pursue their education so that they can also realise their

academic goals."

We celebrate the success of these young people and thank all of our sponsors who have enabled them to undertake their studies.

We ask for your ongoing prayers for them in the careers that they have chosen.
